End Run - Serrin Fabray

EDIT: Redrew parts of the app, mainly Serrin's full-body and Violet. Changed his uniform. There weren't any pockets before, so that's now an alternate uniform, probably more for formal occasions. And the bracelet/necklace now belongs to Violet.

Military Faction: Applied for Navy service, was denied after training, stayed on as a cook. Went rogue. Jobs within the rogues vary, though he may volunteer to help cook.

Personality:
He cares a lot about just about everything and everyone. Just don’t let him know that you know. Serrin tends to act apathetic (or like a great big bag of dicks) as a way for him to remain unattached to others. This is a time of war and he knows this. He is not here to make friends, necessarily; he is here to keep his sister safe (not that that has worked so well so far). He’s protective of things and people he cares about. Serrin feels that if he comes to care about the people here, then he’ll mess up, he’ll do something stupid and reckless. Too bad he can’t help it.

He’s also afraid that others will think he’s weak, and discover how much of a hypocrite he is.

He has a cool exterior, and tries to take things in stride.

Backstory:
It’s just been Serrin and his younger sister (and a few lovers here and there that he never introduced to his sister), Autumn, for about nine years. With a drunk mother and absent father, Serrin left home and took his nine-year old sister with him to live in Vermilion City, whereupon he took up just about any job that would have him, which ended up being the cleaning of ships and even some butchering of fish. He eventually got into cooking and waiting tables at a seafood restaurant called Kingler’s Palace.

He has done his best to provide his sister with a better life than she would have had back home in Pewter City.

When news of the war and recruiters arrived in Vermilion City Autumn begged Serrin not to sign up, but the hours he was getting at Kingler’s Palace were declining and soon he wouldn’t be able to support them both on his current salary.

Joining the military in order to support his sister was the best option, so he took it. However, he is not as inclined toward fighting as he would have you believe, and is better suited to the military's kitchens.

Round 3: Defected to the rogues partially out of frustration with the Kanto military having denied him the opportunity to fight for his country and sticking him in the kitchens, and partially because he wants the world to be a better place for his baby sister, and he's willing to do pretty much anything if it will keep her safe and guarantee her a good life.

Round 4: The relationship with his sister has gone downhill since his defection, but he believes that he is in the right. He will be going to Whirl Islands to provide medical aid to POWs and anyone injured during the prison breakout skirmish. There he will happen upon a couple of people he knows, the relationships there will vary between extremely sour, ardent affection, and fried of a friend. (Don't want to give too much away, but you know who you are.)

Extra:
Serrin’s favorite colour is purple.
The necklace he wears is one of two, the other one belonging to Autumn.
The bracelet he wore was made for him by Autumn when she was eight years old, and was meant to be a necklace, but wasn’t quite big enough.
The photo that he carries around is of his younger sister, to remind him what he’s fighting for.
He makes a mean Clamperl chowder.
He is very much in love with Carina Silvers. However, he's an idiot and sort of screwed that over.



Pokemon:

Violet | Blastoise | Serious Nature | Torrent | Female

Move Set: Skull Bash/Withdraw/Hydro Pump/Flash Cannon

Pokemon bio / personality:
Violet was perfectly happy in her pond with her brothers and sisters just outside of Cerulean City, though perhaps more serious than her siblings. And then she was taken out of her home and put through basic training in order to become a weapon for the military. She was not happy about that, but she bore with it, in hopes that she could either escape or be set free and return home to her family.

Instead Serrin picked her from amongst the other Pokémon. She remembers very distinctly that he seemed very big and even a little intimidating. Until they were left alone, that is. Violet quickly discovered that Serrin is not much for ordering her around and that when he does he doesn’t do it with nearly enough conviction.

Violet did not like or trust Serrin. As such, if he gave her orders she was more likely to ignore them and decide what to do on her own. She also showed her dislike for him by turning her back on him. And then Serrin gave her the bracelet that his sister made and explained to Violet what the piece of jewelry meant to him. She recognized that trusting her with such a precious thing was meant as a sort of peace offering and a step toward gaining her trust.

Round 3: Violet is royally pissed off at Serrin. While she likes the ideals the rogues have, she thinks Serrin should have stayed with his sister. Abandoning your family is one of the things that Violet really finds detestable. Luckily for Serrin, she's stuck in her Pokeball for this round.

Round 4: Violet is a little less angry at Serrin, but still displeased with his actions. She agrees with the rogues' ideals. Also, she evolved due to sparring with Serrin's new Lopunny, Beatrice. And now she's a tank.

Extra:
Violet thinks that Serrin needs a haircut.
Has a bit of a foul mouth.
Hates electricity with a burning passion.
Has a crush on a certain Nidoking by the name of Vlad.
Is sort of best frenemies with Beatrice.

Distinguishing Features:
The necklace she wears with three purple stone beads on a thick thread. Her shell is cracked in two places. She has dark blue "pads" on her knees and elbows.


Elijah | Poochyena | Naive Nature | Quick Feet | Male

Move Set: Rain Dance/Crunch/Thunder Fang/Dig

Pokemon bio / personality: Elijah's breed of Poochyena was bred for fluffiness of fur, athleticism (jumping, running, swimming, etc.), and extreme loyalty. Although usually bred as pets, Elijah's litter was donated to the Kanto military to show the breeders' support for the war effort.

Elijah is excitable and attention-seeking, and will do just about anything for a treat. However, he is undyingly loyal to his trainer and obedient to a fault. If ordered to jump off of the boat, he will, and probably come back with a fish.

Extra:
Doesn't like being left alone for more than a few hours (or at all, really).
Loves to cuddle up, especially when sleepy.
Does not balk at violence, blood, and/or gore.

Distinguishing Features: He looks like a medium/standard German Spitz. His right ear is somewhat floppy, and may stand straight up if he is extremely alert. Since joining the rogues he now wears a green bandana around his neck.


Beatrice | Lopunny | Hasty Nature | Cute Charm | Female

Move Set: Jump Kick/Shadow Ball/Dizzy Punch/Blizzard

Pokemon bio / personality: Beatrice was raised with much love and care within the rogues. It wasn't long before she evolved from a Buneary to a Lopunny. She is extremely fast and sometimes will talk on end. She is quick to make assumptions and follow orders. She's also the kind of 'mon that dives headfirst into relationships; she's kind of an "all or nothing" kind of girl and believes that she gets along with everyone. This is not true, however. Prime example being that Violet finds her annoying especially when she gets to talking.

Extra:
Absolutely loves her new team! Except maybe Dorian, he's a spoil-sport.
Her hands are kind of small, but she can still pack a punch.
She's faster than Elijah, and that's saying something.
Loves a good fight.

Distinguishing Features: She has a green cloth tied around her left bicep. Her chest fur is very fluffy and she has a fluffy tuft of longer fur on her forehead.


Dorian | Audino | Lax Nature | Healer | Male

Move Set: Heal Pulse/Sunny Day/Solar Beam/Flamethrower

Pokemon bio / personality: Dorian is lazy and dislikes being called cute. He has a somewhat short fuse and is prone to thinking that everyone around him are idiots. He seems to get along with Violet just fine, but he finds it difficult to get along with Beatrice and Elijah. He doesn't like getting into fights (again, lazy, rather than being a pacifist) however if he does get into a fight he will finish it.

He will follow orders, but he won't be happy about it.

Extra:
While he's too lazy to get into many fights, he doesn't mind watching them.
He is most often found on all fours, though he can walk on just his hind legs.

Distinguishing Features: Dorian's eyes are more of a window cleaner blue than the usual navy of his species. His ears and teeth are more like a rabbit's.
